THIRD PARTY ONLY COVER.
Any costs arising from an accident whereby the insured is held responsible are met by the insurance company. These include fees arising from any legal proceedings and the costs of repairing the other parties’ vehicle or any compensation granted to third party persons due to injury or death. Thus for a modest amount of premium, the insured protects themselves against any unforeseen costs which may arise.
THIRD PARTY FIRE &THEFT COVER.
Any costs arising from accidental damage to third party property whereby the insured is liable are met by the Insurance Company. These include the fees arising from any legal proceedings and the costs of repairing the other parties’ vehicle or any compensation granted to third party persons due to death or injury. For a modest proportion of the vehicle value the insured protects themselves against any loss due to theft or fire.
COMPREHENSIVE COVER.
The costs of repairs or replacement when the insured vehicle is burnt, stolen or in the event that it is involved in an accident are met. The comprehensive standard cover will provide financial compensation for losses incurred by fire, theft and accidental damage.
There are various extensions to this cover such as:-
- Windscreen cover
- Riots and strikes
- Special perils cover
- Medical expenses
- Repair authority. Limit above excess up to which a customer is allowed to undertake repairs without authority from underwriter
- Emergency charges for transport to hospital
- Liability of passengers
- Personal accident cover
- Radio cassette and other additional accessories cover e.g. alloy, rims and other extras.
- Towing charges.
- Rescue Me. Road side rescue cover.
